Group Overview
MEAN WELL, founded in 1982, is one of the few manufacturers worldwide dedicated to standard power supply products. According to April 2025 report by Micro Technology Consultant, MEAN WELL ranks 5th globally among DC output power supply makers. Unlike the top three manufacturers that primarily operate under an OEM/ODM model, nearly 99% of MEAN WELL’s revenue comes from standard power supply products sold under its own brand name, solidifying its reputation as a Reliable Power Partner.
MEAN WELL USA, established in 1999 and headquartered in Fremont, California, serves as the regional hub for North America. Our dedicated team of sales and technical engineers delivers responsive local support to OEMs and distribution partners across diverse industries.
To better serve customers nationwide, we have expanded our presence with two regional facilities:
The newly established MEAN WELL Power Solutions Center (MWPS) in Kansas City, Missouri strengthens our value-added capabilities. With a focus on delivering flexible and responsive local service, MEAN WELL Power Solutions integrates MEAN WELL’s power supplies and peripheral products from the SDG Value Network to create comprehensive solutions that meet the specific needs of the U.S. market.
The New Jersey Service Center (NJSC), rebranded and relocated in 2024, is strategically located in Mount Laurel, NJ, just 30 minutes from Philadelphia and 90 minutes from New York City. This 6,000 sq. ft. facility is more than a regional sales office—it features a training center for technical seminars and product demos, as well as an engineering lab for testing and troubleshooting. Reflecting MEAN WELL’s commitment to sustainability, the NJSC operates on 40kW of rooftop solar, producing over 46,000 kWh of renewable energy annually.
These facilities symbolize more than just physical growth—they underscore MEAN WELL’s strategic commitment to customer-centric innovation, technical excellence, and sustainable development.
At the core of our global operations is a custom-built ERP system, developed in 1991 by MEAN WELL’s internal IT team. This platform connects our distributor and supplier networks, contractors, and employees worldwide, enabling real-time resource integration and ensuring efficient, high-quality service across regions.
As MEAN WELL continues to expand and evolve, our investment in regional service centers like NJSC and MWPS demonstrates our dedication to building lasting partnerships and staying ahead of industry trends—all while providing dependable, efficient, and environmentally responsible power solutions.
At MEAN WELL, we believe:
No stock, no service, no business.
That’s why we continuously invest in local inventory, engineering resources, and customer support—to ensure the availability, responsiveness, and reliability our customers deserve.
